The number of measuring systems with remote reading has increased in recent years. According to EU guidelines, member states are required to implement the so-called intelligent networks, in particular intelligent measuring systems. This is one of the mechanisms that improve energy efficiency. Currently used solutions have not proved to be a good communication layer due to low reading efficiency and high implementation and maintenance costs. Thus, distribution system operators as well as producers of electricity meters are forced to search for intelligent solutions based on new information technologies. The emerging alternative due to the low cost of implementation and operation is the NB IoT technology and LTE Cat M1.
The developed solution will allow remote management of local data analysis, remote management of the scope of resulting data that are published by distributed sensors to the central repository, as well as will limit the amount of information sent.
